Privacy Policy

Docket is operated by Tater Tech Studios LLC ("Tater Tech Studios," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information Docket collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, contact us at tatertechstudios@gmail.com.

This policy applies to the Docket application at docket.tatertechstudios.com. Other Tater Tech Studios products have their own privacy policies.

Who Uses Docket

Docket is a business tool for legal recruiters. Access is account-based and provided to authorized users under a subscription. Docket is not directed to, or intended for use by, the general public or anyone under 18.

Information We Collect

We collect only what's needed to run the service:

Account information — your name and email address, used for authentication, billing, and support.
Recruiting data you enter or import — candidate names, contact details, resumes, education and work history, notes, and the law firms, jobs, and submissions you track. Some of this is personal information about third parties (candidates and firm contacts) that you provide.
Google user data — see the dedicated section below.
Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment status but never see or store full card numbers.
Usage and technical data — server logs, IP address, and basic diagnostics used to operate and secure the service.

We do not use tracking pixels, advertising SDKs, or behavioral ad analytics.

Google User Data

With your authorization, Docket connects to your Google account to provide its core features. We request only the scopes needed for those features:

`gmail.readonly`	Read incoming job-alert emails so Docket can ingest and organize new job postings for you.
`gmail.send`	Send recruiting and outreach emails from your account, at your direction.
`calendar.events.readonly`	Read your calendar events to provide scheduling context for interviews and outreach.
`spreadsheets.readonly`	Read your Do-Not-Contact (DNC) Google Sheet so Docket can honor firms you've excluded.
`email`, `profile`	Identify your account and display your basic profile.

Limited Use disclosure. Docket's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

We use Google user data only to provide and improve the user-facing features described above, at your direction.
We do not sell Google user data.
We do not use Google user data for advertising.
We do not use Google user data to train, develop, or improve generalized AI or machine-learning models.
We do not transfer Google user data to others except as necessary to provide the service (see Service Providers), to comply with applicable law, or with your explicit consent.
We do not allow humans to read your Google user data except where you give explicit consent, where required for security or to comply with law, or where the data has been aggregated and anonymized.

AI-assisted features. Docket uses a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) to help draft emails and cover letters on content you choose to process. When this happens, your data is used solely to generate that output for you; the provider is contractually prohibited from using it to train its models, and it is never used for advertising.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to operate Docket, authenticate you, ingest and organize job alerts, draft and send the emails you direct, honor your Do-Not-Contact list, process payments, provide support, and secure and improve the service.

How We Store and Protect Data

Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is restricted to authorized personnel and controlled by application-level authorization. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, though no system can be guaranteed perfectly secure.

Service Providers

We use the following service providers, who process data on our behalf under their own privacy and data-protection terms:

Google — Gmail, Calendar, and Sheets access described above.
Stripe — payment processing.
Anthropic — AI-assisted drafting (no training on your data).
Cloud hosting and database providers — to run the application.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only with the service providers above, when required by law, or to protect our rights and the safety of users.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can disconnect Google access at any time from within Docket or from your Google Account security settings; doing so stops further access and revokes our tokens. To request deletion of your account and associated data, email tatertechstudios@gmail.com. Deletion is permanent, subject to any records we must retain to comply with law.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Because Docket stores personal information about third parties that you provide (such as candidates), you are responsible for having a lawful basis to provide it and for honoring any request you receive directly from those individuals.

Children

Docket is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent changes. Continued use of Docket after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
